Animal Medical Center is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Midland, MI. The professional and courteous staff at Animal Medical Center seeks to provide the best possible medical, surgical, and dental care for their highly-valued patients!

Animal Medical Center offers a state of the art facility that was newly built in in 2023! We offer a clean, comfortable and welcoming enviorment for you and your furry family members.

  • Dr. David White, DVM, Practice Owner

    David has been around the Animal Medical Center his entire life.  After graduating from Michigan State University, he joined his father at the Animal Medical Center.  Since then he has taken over the family business and works towards continuing the tradition of providing great veterinary service for the community.

    David is currently married to fellow veterinarian, Jennifer Smith.  They own a pitbull mix, an orange long-haired cat, and two short-haired (brother) cats.

  • Dr. Jennifer Smith, DVM, Associate

    Jen joined the Animal Medical Center in August, 2019. She completed her veterinary degree at Michigan State University in 2015 and began her veterinary career at a mixed animal/emergency clinic before joining her husband, Dr. Dave, in practice.
    When not at the clinic, Dr. Jen enjoys gardening and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband own one dog and three cats.

  • Dr. Dan White, DVM, Practice Manager

    Dan was born and raised in Midland.  He graduated from MSU college of veterinary medicine with high honors in 1980.  After 5 years in Royal Oak he purchased the Animal Medical Center in 1985.  Dan and his wife Cathy have two sons, David and Jeff.  He enjoys working with the Wildlife Recovery Association. He has a cuddly dog named Dante.  When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dan enjoys tennis and golf and rooting the Spartans on to victory. He is currently working part time.

  • Suzanne, LVT

    Suzanne joined the practice in June of 2017. Before finishing school, Suzanne was an ex-tern at Animal Medical Center and is now happy to be a part of the practice. In her free time she enjoys, reading, playing with her 4 kitties, Kiki, Star, Zelda and Dragon. She also likes to take Sammy, her dog, to all the local parks for exercise. Suzanne loves her job and looks forward to seeing all the puppies and kitties each day at the clinic.

  • Kayla, LVT

    Kayla joined the practice in September of 2021. She graduated from MSU's Veterinary Nursing Program and completed her Fear Free Certification. Kayla has a bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry through SVSU.  Kayla enjoys outdoor hobbies and spending time her family. She has two border collies, Cora and Evie, that love to go hiking and skiing with her too!

  • Christine, Receptionist

    Christine was a high school co-op at our practice in 2006, she enjoyed the work so much she returned in September of 2018. She is a loving dog mom to a mischievous 7 month old Daschshund named Rooster. In her spare time she loves to be outdoors, hunt, fish, read, arts & crafts, listen to music and spend time with her family and friends!

  • Emily, Receptionist

    Emily joined our team in 2021. She is eager to familiarize herself with the clients of Animal Medical Center. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling around the upper Peninsula and volunteering as a dog walker at the Humane Society. Emily has two cats Ms. Bojangels and Rockstar Tator.

  • Chelby, CVA

    Chelby joined our team in 2022! She's been in the veterinary field for 10 years and aspires to get her LVT degree in the near future. Her favorite aspects of the position are fear free handling, giving everyone an enjoyable appointment experience, client education and learning something new in the field every day. In her spare time, she enjoys it with her family, camping, and kayaking! Chelby is also a part of our social media platforms and supervising our high school Co-Ops! Find her on our facebook page posting the best pictures of our patients and educating our clients!

  • Caelie, Veterinary Assistant

    Caelie recently joined our team in 2023! She has been in the Veterinary Field for about 3 years now. She is currently enrolled in the online Penn Foster course to get her LVT degree. She is also working to get fear free certified! Her favorite aspects of the clinic are Client Education, learning new skills, and meeting new patients (and cleaning ears). In her spare time she enjoys reading, hammocking, and hanging out at her cabin. She has 3 furry babies, Leo, Mowgli, and newest edition Zavia!

  • Abigail, LVT

    Abby joined our veterinary team in October 2023. She graduated from Baker College of Cadillac, with honors, in 2022. Abby has always had a love for animals and knew she was going to pursue a career in the veterinary field ever since she was young! Abby enjoys to educate our clients about preventative care, performing ear cleanings, providing one on one care for our surgery patients and assisting with dentistries. In Abby's free time, she enjoys to thrift shopping, watching scary movies and spending time with her partner and their lab mix, Marcy!

  • Craig, Veterinary Assistant

    Craig re-joined our team in fall of 2024! He comes to us with 16 years of experiance in veterinary medicine. His favorite aspects of the job is providing client education and geriatric care. He shares his home with three cats (Gray, Onyx and Ursula) and a puggle named Apollo! Outside of work, Craig enjoys gardening, baking sweet treats and spending time with his family and friends around the bonfire or in the pool!
