Animal Medical Center is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Midland, MI. The professional and courteous staff at Animal Medical Center seeks to provide the best possible medical, surgical, and dental care for their highly-valued patients!

We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and health-related educational opportunities for our clients. We offer a state of the art facility that was newly built in in 2023! We offer a clean, comfortable and welcoming enviorment for you and your furry family members.

  • Dr. David White, DVM, Practice Owner

    David has been around the Animal Medical Center his entire life.  After graduating from Michigan State University, he joined his father at the Animal Medical Center.  Since then, he has taken over the family business and works towards continuing the tradition of providing great veterinary service for the community.

    David is married to fellow veterinarian, Jennifer Smith. He and his wife own four cats. (Gidget, Morty, Rick & Holly)

  • Dr. Jennifer Smith, DVM, Associate

    Jen joined the Animal Medical Center in August, 2019. She completed her veterinary degree at Michigan State University in 2015. She began her veterinary career at a mixed animal/emergency clinic before joining her husband, Dr. Dave here at Animal Medical Center.
    When not at the clinic, Dr. Jen enjoys gardening and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband own four cats. (Gidget, Morty, Rick & Holly)

  • Dr. Dan White, DVM, Practice Manager

    Dan was born and raised in Midland.  He graduated from MSU college of veterinary medicine with high honors in 1980.  After 5 years in Royal Oak he purchased the Animal Medical Center in 1985.  Dan and his wife Cathy have two sons, David and Jeff.  He enjoys working with the Wildlife Recovery Association. He has a cuddly dog named Cello.  When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dan enjoys tennis, golf and rooting the Spartans on to victory.

  • Christine, Receptionist

    Christine was a high school co-op at our practice in 2006, she enjoyed the work so much she returned in September of 2018. She is a loving dog mom to a mischievous Daschshund named Rooster. In her spare time she loves to be outdoors, hunt, fish, read, arts & crafts, listen to music and spend time with her family and friends!

  • Emily, Receptionist

    Emily joined our team in 2021. She is eager to familiarize herself with the clients of Animal Medical Center. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling around the upper Peninsula and volunteering as a dog walker at the Humane Society. Emily has three cats Ms. Bojangels, Walter Remnar and Spazzy Spazoid Soady.

  • Suzanne, LVT

    Suzanne joined the practice in June of 2017. Before finishing school, Suzanne was an extern at Animal Medical Center and is now happy to be a part of the team. She enjoys her job caring for all of her patients. In addition to being a technician, she also orders inventory and keeps the clinic stocked with all the things needed to keep a busy practice running. In her free time she likes to spend time with her cats Star, Zelda, Snapdragon, Pluto and her puppy Atticus. She also enjoys reading, kayaking, and going to parks.

  • Kayla, LVT

    Kayla joined the practice in September of 2021. She graduated from MSU's Veterinary Nursing Program and completed her Fear Free Certification. Kayla has a bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry through Saginaw Valley State University.  Kayla enjoys outdoor hobbies and spending time her family. She has two border collies, Cora and Evie, that love to go hiking and skiing with her too!

  • Taylor, Veterinary Assistant

    Taylor joined our team in the Spring of 2026. She has worked in the veterinary field for six years. She completed her wildlife conservation degree through Purdue University in the Spring of 2022 and in the fall of 2025, she finished her Veterinary Nursing degree through Penn Foster. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her three dogs Fen, Jax, Lulu & her cat Lady. When outside of work, she likes to camp, hike & enjoys photography. Taylor's favorite part of her job is seeing animals come back happy and healthier.

  • Chelby, Veterinary Assistant

    Chelby joined our team in 2022! She's been in the veterinary field for over 10 years and aspires to get her LVT degree in the near future. Her favorite aspects of the position are fear free handling, giving everyone an enjoyable appointment experience, client education and learning something new in the field. In her spare time, she enjoys it with her family, camping, and kayaking! Chelby is also a part of our social media platforms and supervising our high school Co-Ops!   • Caelie, Veterinary Assistant

    Caelie joined our team in 2023! She has been in the veterinary field for about 4 years now. Her favorite aspects of the clinic are client education, learning new skills, meeting new patients and helping clients enjoy their experience here at AMC! In her spare time she enjoys reading, hammocking, volunteering at church, taking her dog Zavia on walks, and hanging out at her cabin. She has 3 furry babies, Leo, Mowgli, and Zavia!

  • Craig, Veterinary Assistant

    Craig re-joined our team in fall of 2024! He comes to us with 16 years of experiance in veterinary medicine. His favorite aspects of the job is providing client education and geriatric care. He shares his home with three cats (Gray, Onyx and Ursula) and dog, Amber! Outside of work, Craig enjoys gardening, baking sweet treats and spending time with his family and friends around the bonfire or in the pool!

    Izzy Joined our team in summer of 2024! She has just began her journey in the veterinary field here at AMC. Outside of work Izzy enjoys taking her dog Buddy on walks, swimming, and spending time with friends!

    Holly is our clinic cat. She joined us in Dec 2024 and has snuggled her way into all of our hearts, especially Dr. White (David) & Dr. Smith. You can find her wandering our hallways and occasionally peeking in on appointments!

  • Rooster Cogburn, Security

    Rooster is Christine's sidekick. He's known for being our reception security guard! When he's not alerting us, you can find him napping behind the front desk. He loves to make friends with our clients pets and go for walks around the clinic! He's a sweet working man but he can be a pistol from time to time.
